Monday Motivation

here's to the beginning of a new week!

Baking Math

one smoke alarm going off
two fans to air out the kitchen
one oven cleaning
two recipe modifications
two new batches of dough
seven (!) full sinks' worth of dishes
equals eight loaves of bread: three brown sugar cinnamon and five blueberry buttermilk
on the bright side, our kitchen smells pretty amazing once the fans did their job

Weekday Meals

below are quick snapshots of lunches and dinners that I made this past week
having a chalkboard table makes presentation a bit more fun!

there was no chalkboard picture for today (Friday) for we went out on a dinner date
hope everyone's enjoying the start of the weekend! and happy national doughnut day!

Hello June!

it seems like the months have just been whizzing on by!

I've been busy as a bee: cleaning and re-organizing our entire home, working on projects, and planning ahead for the rest of the year.

I need to put in more effort in posting given that this blog has been put on the back burner. I have a queue of pictures waiting to be posted, it's just a matter of, you know, actually posting them- haha.

I completed a small DIY project that involved this IKEA table and a can of spray chalkboard paint.
This particular table was painted blue two summers ago, so a quick tabletop sanding was needed before painting. The "hardest" part was waiting during the 24-hour drying period to let the paint surface set.

hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! xoxo
